Above Las Vegas: Its Canyons and Mountains

Above Las Vegas, aerial photographs by Robert Cameron and text by Jack Sheehan. The Luxor pyramid, next to the Excallibur kingdom, across the street from the New York New York and the MGM Grand theme park. There’s no logic to how this hyperbolic architecture, all work together, but somehow it does. Then get out of town and revel in the rose and crimson of Red Rock Canyon, explore the white peaks of Mt Charleston, the Colorado River, and the Hoover Dam, or go east to the cathedral spires of Bryce Canyon and Zion. The wonders were formed over 50 million years, and yet the Strip is just 50 years old. Geologist fear not; mankind has bearly made a dent in any of it.
